It's prime hunting season in the midwest! For years now, my father has been quite the hunting enthusiast. Chuck has jumped on the bandwagon and taken a great interest in the sport as well. They look forward to this time of year; when they can suit up in their manly camo attire, triple-check that their crossbows are in top-notch working condition, and go out and spread deer urine all over the woods. After all this hard (aka dirty) work and preparation, they climb ten plus feet in the air and plant themselves in their feeble treestands swaying in the wind. Fast forward a couple hours to still being planted in those same treestands in blizzard conditions patiently waiting for that perfect deer to prance on by. Oh, and meanwhile icicles are forming on their noses while my mom and I sit beneath piles of blankets by the fire watching a chick flick, sipping on hot chocolate.....
As an ode to the avid hunter, I found some great decor just in case those elusive deer dodge your arrows this winter....
I love, love, love these deer and moose heads from Z Gallerie (they have a ram and rhino head as well if you're into the more exotic species...). They're finished with white lacquer, so they'll add great contrast against a brightly painted wall or vibrant wallcovering!
